I started my training of Shotokan Karate in 1984 in the KUGB association under the legendary Sensei Enoeda 9th Dan. I successfully graded to Black Belt 1st Dan 1987 and continued to train until I had her first child and decided to take time out. In 2003 I began to start training again but in the style of Wado Ryu at Imperial Karate Club where I re-took my Black Belt 1st Dan in 2005 and also started to compete at local and association events in Kumite (fighting). My children and husband also caught my passion for Karate and started to train with me. After winning several Gold medals at association level I was soon selected to represent the Amateur Martial Association at national level where I went on to win several English and British Gold Medals. In 2006 I successfully graded to Black Belt 2nd Dan at Imperial Karate under Sensei Simon O'brien. I am now training with sensei Berry Welch and sensei Nicole Levesque-Welch.
